If you live near me on the western border, nothing is close. I know that I am not very close to anyone so I won't ask you to plan things over here. I don't mind driving 2-3 hours to get to the events. But that is my limit. Pretty much anything in the Boston/Hartford/Springfield area is rather easy for me. Ma is about 3 1/2 from western to mid cape and most of our events are held within reasonable distance to everyone in Ma. Heck, when I was thinking about the poll I had not even divided the states, KaLea had much more forethought than I did with this one. It takes me 40-45 minutes to get to 84. 95 is way too far south. An hour if I want to hit the Mass Pike.
